Most of the pages answering this are published by arcade machine manufacturers whose business is selling you a cabinet. One of the top results is a manufacturer in Guangzhou. A figure from someone who profits when you believe it is marketing, not research.
The numbers are usually in dollars, from sites with no UK presence. Some do not state a currency at all. A figure from a bar in another country tells you nothing about a Friday in your room.
None of them name a venue. None cite where the number came from. A figure with no venue, no country and no source behind it is not a forecast — it is a sales tool with a decimal point in it.
We would rather lose the enquiry than win it with a number we made up. If a figure ever appears on this site, it will have a venue and a date attached to it.

Straight answers
Nobody can tell you before it is in your room, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What it takes is decided by your footfall, where the machine sits, which nights you are busy and what you charge per play. Those are your numbers, not ours. Put them into the calculator on this page and you will get the arithmetic without the guesswork.
On profit share the question does not really apply, because the venue has nothing invested. There is no upfront cost and no rental fee, so a machine that takes nothing costs you nothing but the floor space. If you buy one outright then it is a normal return-on-investment question, and the answer depends entirely on how busy the site already is.
Because we cannot evidence it. We would have to either quote you what a different venue takes, which tells you nothing about yours, or invent a figure. We will explain exactly how the split works and what drives takings, and we will look at your spot and tell you honestly whether we think it will work — including when we think it will not.

On a route people already walk — the bar, the way to the toilets, the door to the smoking area — and in eyeline of the seating, with room to swing and room for a group to watch. It changes who can play. A coin-only machine loses the player who would happily have paid but had nothing in his pocket, and that is most people now. Every machine we place has a contactless card reader fitted, which also means the takings are recorded rather than estimated, so the split has a record behind it.
