If you already have two fruit machines, this is the part that matters most and it is the part no operator seems to mention.
An alcohol-licensed premises in England and Wales is automatically entitled to make two Category C or D gaming machines available, on notification to the licensing authority. Want a third and you are into a gaming machine permit — an application fee, an annual fee, and a conversation with the council.
A boxing machine pays out no money and no prizes. That means it is not a gaming machine under the Gambling Act at all — it is an amusement machine, and it sits outside that entitlement completely. Your two fruit machines stay exactly as they are.
We are an operator, not your solicitor. If your premises licence carries specific conditions about machines, send it to us and we will go through it with you, and check with your own licensing authority before anything is installed. We would rather you asked them than took our word for it.

Does a boxing machine count towards my two gaming machines?
No. The automatic entitlement for alcohol-licensed premises covers two Category C or D gaming machines. A boxing machine pays out no money and no prizes, so it is an amusement machine rather than a gaming machine and it does not count against that allowance. If you already run two fruit machines, they stay as they are. Check with your own licensing authority before installation — we will go through your premises licence with you, but they are the ones who decide.

Does it take cash or card?
Both. Every machine we place takes cash and card, with a contactless reader fitted as standard. A coin-only machine misses everyone with nothing in their pocket, and the card takings are logged automatically so the split has a record behind it.
