Boxing machines for gyms

A gym is a different sell to a pub, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not put one in either. Your members did not come in to be dared into something. They came in to measure themselves, and a machine that puts a number on a punch is a measurement.

Boxing machine installed in a venue of the kind Haymaker Arcade places in gyms

The short answer

What a gym gets

What it is
A boxing arcade machine installed in your venue on a 50/50 profit share.
Cost to the venue
Nothing upfront and no rental fee. We supply, deliver, install and service it.
How you are paid
Half of everything the machine takes, monthly, by bank transfer.
Payments
Every machine takes both cash and card. Contactless is fitted as standard, not an optional extra.
Coverage
Nationwide across the UK, operated from a North West base.
Where it goes
Near reception or wherever members wait, rather than deep in the training floor. You want it caught on the way in and on the way out, when someone has two minutes and a bit of adrenaline left. Clear room to swing, and a standard 13A socket.
When it earns
Weekday evenings and the changeover between classes, when the most people are standing around with nothing to do. Quieter daytimes cost you nothing.

Why it works here specifically

What makes gyms different

The same machine behaves differently depending on the room it is in. This is what we have learned from the ones we run.

It is a score, not a dare

In a pub the machine works on bravado. In a gym it works on progress — the same member hitting it on the way out every session, watching the number climb. People use it differently here, and more steadily.

It runs a leaderboard on its own

Members compete with each other without you organising anything. A whiteboard next to it with the week's best score costs you a marker pen.

It suits the dead time by the door

The space by reception, the bit where people wait for a class to clear, the corner of the free-weights area nobody trains in. That floor is already paid for.

Named venues

Real rooms, real names

Every venue below has agreed to be named. Nobody else in this category publishes one. If you want to know what we are like to deal with, you do not have to take our word for it — go and ask them.

We’ve had the Haymaker Arcade boxing machine at both our Blackpool and Bolton sites for a while now, and it’s been a brilliant addition — members love stepping on for a quick hit between games, and it’s turned into a genuine extra revenue stream with zero hassle on our end.

The Haymaker Arcade boxing machine has been a great fit for us at Lahori Lane — customers waiting for their table love having a go, and it keeps the energy in the place going while adding a bit extra to the till each month.

Since putting the Haymaker Arcade machine in, it’s become one of those things regulars just gravitate towards — good bit of fun, no effort from our side, and a steady little earner every month.

The Haymaker Arcade machine has been a hit with personnel on base — competitive, easy to use, and a solid addition to the space with zero maintenance headache on our end.

  • Padel Bonito · Padel centre · Sheffield · Pool table

Why this matters. Every operator you speak to will tell you they are reliable. The difference is whether they will put a name next to it. These venues let us use theirs. Shawingz liked the first machine enough to put one in a second site, which is the part we would look at if it were our floor space.

Placement

Where it goes decides what it earns

Near reception or wherever members wait, rather than deep in the training floor. You want it caught on the way in and on the way out, when someone has two minutes and a bit of adrenaline left. Clear room to swing, and a standard 13A socket.

This is the part most operators skip, because a supplier who has already been paid has no reason to care where the machine ends up. On profit share we are not paid until it earns, which is exactly why we are fussy about the corner. What actually decides takings.

Three ways to get one

Free, hired, or bought

Most popular

50/50 profit share

Nothing upfront, nothing to rent. We install and service it, you keep half of everything it takes.

Hire it

A day, a weekend or a season. Fixed price, delivered, set up and collected by us.

Buy it outright

Own it and keep 100% of the takings, if the site is already busy enough to justify it.

Not sure which? Compare all three side by side.

Where we cover

Towns with a page of their own

We work nationwide from a North West base. These towns have their own page, and most of them have a named venue on it you can go and ask.

Straight answers

Gyms & boxing gyms, answered

Is it training equipment?

No, and it should not be sold to you as though it is. It is a scored amusement machine with a bag on it. It is good for a bit of competition between members and for filling dead space by the door; it is not a piece of kit anyone is programming a session around.

Will it get hammered in a boxing gym?

It gets used harder in a gym than in a pub, which is exactly why servicing sits with us rather than you. Parts, labour and callouts are ours. If a machine keeps failing we replace it rather than keep patching it.

Do members pay, or can I put it on free play?

Your call. On profit share it needs to take money to be worth either of us having it, but plenty of gyms run it paid and treat the venue's half as offsetting something else. If you want it free for members, buying one outright is the honest answer and we will tell you that.

We already have bags and a ring. Why add this?

Because it does something your bags do not: it produces a number, in public, that another member can beat. That is the entire appeal and it is why it gets used by people who would not otherwise touch the bags.
